207: The Pup Is Back

Fill has returned.  The pup of the house (i.e. John & Jacky’s child - see I’ve remembered their names) is back from his travelling. He’s been away for (very) long time.

‘Fill’ seems such an odd name but that’s what they call hime. (When he’s dead, will they change to past tense snd call him ‘Full’?)

Listening to him talking to his parents, it seems he’s been to Japan, Australia (East Coast), New Zealand (both islands) Australia again (Central), Tasmania, Australia again (West Coast) and Singapore (to visit old work colleagues snd old haunts).

As a dog, this means little to me (world geography does not feature greatly in puppy school) but it does sound like an extensive itinerary.

Anyway, he’s back - ruling the roost.

I wonder when he’s going away again.

Soon, I hope.  He upsets the equilibrium, the natural order of the house.  He’s not malicious or intentionally destructive but he changes all sorts of things just by his presence.

The  beans don’t seem to notice or mind; in fact, I think they are glad he’s back.

I suppose I’ll just have to get used to it.  It’s a good job I’m so flexible and amenable.

By the time of my next post, i might have got used to it (though I doubt it!).
